The course

proudly serving Nuun on course

Both courses are purely out and backs on the beautiful Sammamish River Trail.

Aid stations are evenly spaced along the half marathon course and will provide runners with water, Nuun electrolytes and Clif gels.  Half marathon participants will pass 5 aid stations, spaced approximately every 2-3 miles.  There are no aid stations on the 5k course.

CUPLESS RACING

Orca Running is committed to reducing waste and protecting the environment.  As part of this commitment, we are making all events cupless. The tiny little cups that are used for an instant generate tremendous amounts of garbage. We recommend you purchase a handheld bottle, a hydration pack, or we can provide you with a small re-useable cup that folds easily into your waistband to use during the entire race and future races.

Awards

Plaques will be mailed to the top 3 overall men and women.

PARKING

There is free on street parking in downtown Redmond for both the Half Marathon and 5K.

Both the Half Marathon and 5K  start and finish at Central Connector Park in downtown Redmond, located at: 160 161st Avenue Northeast, Redmond, WA 98052

Lodging

We recommend you stay at the new Archer Hotel in Redmond.  It is just a couple of blocks from the start/finish line.  Use this link to book a room for a 20% discount!

BEER GARDEN

After you’re done running have a frosty beverage from Georgetown Brewery!  Each beer is $5 and 100% of money collected goes directly to the Woodinville Firefighters Benevolent Fund.

Charity Partner

Each and every Orca Running race supports a charity. The Lake Sammamish Half benefits Cascade Leadership Challenge, a wonderful non-profit organization dedicated to providing outdoor adventure opportunities to youth ages 14-20. They serve underprivileged kids in our communities by organizing camping trips and other fun events so kids can enjoy the outdoors and learn leadership skills at the same time. Cascade Leadership Challenge is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers and if you’re interested please contact them directly.
