Indulge in two of Seattle’s true loves: running and craft beer! The Craft Classic Half Marathon and 5K offers a fast Seattle area course with riverside views. This race is flat and fast, and there is plenty to do post-race in charming downtown Redmond.

Craft Classic Seattle has become a local classic for many runners.

The Course

Run the route

A pure out and back on the beautiful Sammamish River Trail — flat, fast and full of riverside views. Start and finish are both at Downtown Park in Redmond.

You will pass 5 aid stations, spaced approximately every 2–3 miles, stocked with water, Tailwind electrolytes and GU gels.

Super Pacers provides pacers for 1:30, 1:45, 2:00 and 2:15 finish times.

Aid stations

Aid stations are evenly spaced along the half marathon course and provide water, Tailwind electrolytes and GU gels. Half marathon participants pass 5 aid stations, spaced approximately every 2–3 miles. There are no aid stations on the 5K course.

Awards

Overall awards go to the top 3 male, female and non-binary runners based on gun time rather than chip time, so start near the front. Age group awards are given in 5-year increments. We do not mail awards after the race — they must be picked up at the race.

Time limit

The half marathon course closes at 11:30am. The 5K course closes at 9:30am.

Parking

There is free on-street parking in downtown Redmond, plus a Park & Ride at 16160 NE 83rd St.

The new Downtown Redmond Light Rail station is now open. It is a 5 minute walk to the start/finish line and a 17 minute ride from downtown Bellevue.

For the Craft Classic we are pleased to be working with the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund, a coalition of local firefighters working together to serve their communities by giving back directly to those who need it most. 100% of the money collected in the beer garden goes directly to them.

FAQ

How can I confirm that I am signed up?

The best thing to check first is your email inbox, for a confirmation email from RunSignUp for the race in question. You can also look up your registration in your RunSignUp account — log in, go to your Profile page, and view your current registrations under Upcoming Events.

How can I confirm what shirt size I ordered?

The t-shirt size you selected appears on your confirmation email. If you did not receive your confirmation email, try checking your spam folder.

I cannot participate! What are my options?

Registrations are non-refundable, but you do have options — take a look at our refund and transfer policy on the Orca Running policies page, which covers transfers and everything else available to you.

I cannot participate, but I would still like to pick up my swag. Can I pick it up?

Yes. Your swag can be collected at the race finish, and a friend or family member is welcome to pick it up on your behalf.

Are walkers welcome?

Absolutely yes! Just keep an eye on the course close times — 9:30am for the 5K and 11:30am for the half marathon.

Are dogs welcome?

No, dogs are not allowed to participate in the Craft Classic. They are welcome at the start and finish line areas, however.

Are strollers welcome?

Strollers are allowed. The parent or guardian who is going to push the stroller should indicate as such when registering for the race and agree to abide by our stroller policy, which includes the requirement that the minor wears a CPSC certified helmet at all times while participating in the event.

What time does the course close?

The half marathon course closes at 11:30am. The 5K course closes at 9:30am.

Will there be porta-potties at the start/finish? What about out on the course?

There will be porta-potties available at the start line and the finish line area, and out on the course at several places.

When does online registration close?

Online registration closes the day before the race at 8:00pm.

What/who does this race benefit?

The Craft Classic benefits the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund, a coalition of local firefighters working together to serve their communities by giving back directly to those who need it most. They provide the volunteers on the course and receive 100% of the money collected in the beer garden.

Can someone else pick up my packet?

Yes, a friend or family member can pick up your packet for you — just coordinate ahead of time.

Can I sign up in person at packet pickup or on race day?

There is a race day price on the entry chart — $109 for the half marathon and $63 for the 5K — so in-person registration at packet pick-up or on race morning is available unless the race has sold out.

How do I confirm I'm signed up?

Check your inbox for a RunSignUp confirmation email, or log into your RunSignUp account and look under Upcoming Events on your profile.

I can't participate — what are my options?

Entries are non-refundable, but you can defer, transfer to another race, or transfer to another runner. See our policies.

Can someone else pick up my packet?

Yes — just coordinate with them. Nothing special is needed.

Can I register in person on race day?

If the race hasn't sold out, yes. Cash (exact change), check, or card.

Are walkers welcome?

Absolutely — as long as you finish before the course closes.
